Our preschool stars took the stage at our show in Paisley Town Hall in June with so much joy, confidence, and love for dance — and each other. It’s not just about learning steps, it’s about growing together, cheering each other on, and finding the courage to shine.
 Some of our tiniest (and primary school) dancers were a little nervous before stepping onto the big stage — but you’d never know it! Once they got out there, some didn’t want to come off!💛

Non-Sickled vs Sickled Feet

In Ballet it is vital that our ankles and feet are strong as they are the foundation for the rest of our body. If they’re weak then a sickle in the ankle will occur - the second slide. This can fixed over time with strengthening.

But how can you strengthen your ankles at home?
1. ‘Good toes and Naughty toes’ - this involves pointing and relaxing your feet repeatedly.
2. Ankle circling
3. Calf raises

This stretch also acts as a way to settle children when they come to class. They change into their dance shoes and start the stretch.

The children see it as a challenge but one that they can complete. There are ‘levels’ that they have added since they have improved. This is great to see and helps them with their own sense of achievement.

Throwback to 2024’s full cast rehearsal!

This was an excellent opportunity to see how the show would run without the stress of costumes. It also gave the dancers a sneak peak 👀 at the other classes!

This rehearsal was done a couple of weeks before the real thing so it allowed us time to fix mistakes and see if the positioning worked.

✨

Doing this rehearsal meant that the show was less stressful for all of us (pupils and teachers)! This left the show to be the fun and memorable night that it show be.

This rehearsal was done a couple of weeks before the real thing so it allowed us time to fix mistakes and see if the positioning worked.

Doing this rehearsal meant that the show was less stressful for all of us (pupils and teachers)! This left the show to be the fun and memorable night that it show be.
